Nothing says summer like ice cream cones on the front porch.

We did "make your own pizza" for dinner tonight. The kids love to cook, and eat more things if they are involved in making their meals. They both ate their entire pizza creations.

Lazy Sunday....April 26, 2009

It was naptime all-around this afternoon. Georgia actually fell asleep, and could not be woken up for a while, so she napped on the couch with Dante and I. It was some much-needed quiet time. This doesn't happen very often, and I am sure will happen even less in a week or so.

We had a BBQ at my parent's house with some extended family. My cousins and their kids were there and this was the kids table for dinner (including furry children). They all had a great time playing together outside. It was a wonderful night catching up with everyone.

It's a little blurry so I apologize. This is the card for our pediatrician's office. We went back to re-check Noah's ear infections today. No infection right now, but filled with fluid. I have to take him back in 3-4 weeks to check them again, and then probably to the ENT if there is still fluid in there. He will probably need tubes placed this summer.

This was the time when I went downstairs after tucking everyone in for the night. Both kids were asleep, and will hopefully stay that way for the night. We all need a good night's sleep after the past 4 days.

Got my haircut today at Toppers. It is shorter, and will be much easier for me in the next few months. I was so tired I almost fell asleep while they were blow drying my hair. It was so nice and quiet there, I wondered if they would let me hang out and have a nap for a while.

I had Indian for dinner tonight. It was so yummy. I really got into Indian food when we lived in Boston and had a fabulous restaurant around the corner from us. Thankfully we have 3 good Indian restaurants within 2 miles of our house, so I can have it whenever I want. Mmmmmm.

April 20, 2009

Today I had to get a flat tire fixed, this particular one in fact. My Honda Odyssey has the great "run-flat" tires that let you drive up to 125 miles on a flat. Sounds great, right? What I found out in the last two days is that these tires are SO great, and such and innovation that only Honda dealerships have the machine to change them. And they cost almost $400.....PER TIRE!! Hopefully I don't need a new one for a long time.

Naptime

Georgia was exhausted this afternoon, but would not let herself fall asleep. That is, until daddy laid down in the bed with her to cuddle. I found both of them like this, snoring away. I envy the fact that they both sleep so soundly and peacefully.

11 Days To Go

This is from last night, April 18th. We went to a fundraiser for Georgia's pre-school. This is really this first belly shot I have of me during this pregnancy, and what a shot it is. I have 11, well now 10, days left until my c-section. I look happy enough in this photo, but I was in such pain all night. I didn't have any shoes that fit my swollen feet right, and my feet were killing me before I even left the house.

A sneak peek

My mom is a nurse and songrapher. She did an ultrasound last weekend to try to get a few new pics of the baby before he is born. I found myself staring at this one today. He had his hands in front of his eyes the whole time as if to say, "Don't look at me!" But I am amazed at how much detail you can see in the nose and mouth. You could watch his mouth open and close and swallow. Pretty amazing.

My cousin sent me this card to make me smile after this rough couple of months I have had. It did more than that. I literally almost peed my pants laughing, not that that is hard to do when you are 9 months pregnant! Thanks Kristen!

Where Have My Feet Gone?

Here is the view I have right now when I look down. My belly at 37 weeks pregnant with my third child. Two weeks from today we welcome him into the world.

This is Dante. He is our true first-born, a lumpy, smushy, lazy bulldog who is almost 6 years old. He loves to sleep, especially on rainy days like today. I always say that I would give anything to be this dog for a few days. He has a tough life. =)

Bathtime

Bathtime is a favorite in our house. The kids loves to play, pretend to swim, and splash around making a mess. I usually enjoy it, as it is a mellow time that has the ability to calm everyone down and smooth over the rough patches of the day. Tonight Georgia and Noah were trying to make shampoo mowhawks in each others' hair. I just love the looks on both of their faces in this picture.
