Friday July 10, 2009

We had portraits taken today. I love that Georgia and Noah look like such little angels in this picture. You would never know that they were acting like complete lunatics before and after. And Sam just looks like, "Dude, are we done yet?"

Thursday July 9, 2009

Noah, rolling around on my bed, using my bra as a pillow. He thought it was hysterical....it was really.

Wednesday July 8, 2009

A yellow watermelon. Never saw or had one before, but it was very tasty. And the kids thought it was super-cool.

Tuesday July 7, 2009

I was originally trying to take a picture of the song title on my iPod at the time. But right when I snapped it, the backlight went dark. I think this turned out pretty cool.

Monday July 6, 2009

My baby sling is a lifesaver. I would not get through most meals without it, certainly not through the dinner time crazies. I love this thing.

Sunday July 5, 2009

Peace, at last.

Saturday July 4, 2009

This is quintessential bulldog.....especially with the snaggletooth out there.

Friday July 3, 2009

My 2 and half year old son, learning how to tend bar. As Alex told me......marketable skills.

Thursday July 2, 2009

A spa day for four year olds....what could be cuter?

Wednesday July 1, 2009

Noah's first trip to the dentist....he was awesome!

Tuesday June 30, 2009

Programmable timer.....what did I do without you?

Monday June 29, 2009

My arsenal to combat the sun and bug damage.

Sunday June 28, 2009

We talked to my parents tonight on Skype so they could see the kids. This is what grown men will do to try to make a baby laugh.

Saturday June 27, 2009

Alex took this one. LOVE the diva pose.

Friday June 26, 2009

Our first real, scraped and bloody skinned knee. But could you ask for a cooler (or bigger) band-aid?

Thursday June 25, 2009

My sister-in-law arrived today with her 2 children and her cousin. Bring on the margaritas!

Wednesday June 24, 2009

Art projects are all the rage in our house. Today I purchased many, many beads so we can make many, many bracelets and necklaces. Countless hours of entertainment are depicted above.

Tuesday June 23, 2009

I think this might be my favorite store on the planet. Where else can you buy tampons, spark plugs, a TV, a Barbie, and a gallon of milk? I marvel at the contents of my cart every time I check out.

Monday June 22, 2009

Sam finally has a real smile!

Sunday June 21, 2009

Lollipops. Never underestimate their power over a small child. It was the only thing that got us off the plane and through the baggage claim in peace.

Saturday June 20, 2009

Our last night in Ft. Lauderdale. What a view.

Friday June 19, 2009

So Alex's parents have this 6 foot statue in their entryway. Noah was terrified of it, so much that he would start shaking in the elevator. But he was much better after it turned into "the silly general."

Thursday June 18, 2009

Because only in South Florida could you find a tricked out, fuschia Infinity with giant spinners.

Wednesday June 17, 2009

Got to catch up with an old and very dear friend, Sompa. We met up at the mall, watched our kids play, and gossiped about everything. It was a great few hours.....I so wish she lived closer.

Tuesday June 16, 2009

My blog.....let's just say the poo hit the fan. And it made quite a smelly mess.

Monday June 15, 2009

Surfer Sam all decked out for the pool. He looked like such the little dude.

Sunday June 14, 2009

This was the fist time I met my 8 month old nephew. Yes, this baby is only 8 months old!! I swear he is almost as big as Noah. But there isn't much better than chubby baby cheeks and thighs!

Saturday June 13, 2009

About an hour into the flight Noah told Alex that he was tired. Alex simply told him to close his eyes, and he promptly passed out like this. It was amazing.

Friday June 12, 2009

We are packed and ready to go to Florida. The kids got new backpacks for the trip so they can carry their own crap...at least in theory.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Thursday June 11, 2009

I went for my six-week post-partum appointment today. Everything is doing well. Hopefully I won't have to go back until my yearly appointment. =)

Wednesday June 10, 2009

My driver's seat. I spend so much time here I am surprised that there is not a visible butt-print. I can not imagine how I will get all these kids to their various activities when they are in real school.

Tuesday June 9, 2009

This is Sam's new "soothing center" which we bought because he hated every other chair/swing/baby occupying device that we already had. But to have him fall asleep in here for 30 minutes was totally worth it.

Monday June 8, 1009

Tummy time on the boppy. So serious.

Sunday June 7, 2009

Noah meets stamp pads. I thought he was turning into a smurf at one point.

Saturday June 6, 2009

Happy 2nd Birthday Rachael! Too cute!

Friday June 5, 2009

Took the dog to the vet and this was my total. 15 minutes, and $300 later we went home. I am in the wrong business....

Thursday June 4, 2009

We got new carpet today in our family room, playroom, and Alex's new office. We fell victim to the most successful jingle ever. But they were great, and the house looks awesome.

Wednesday June 3, 2009

Seriously. There isn't much else to say.

Tuesday June 2, 2009

So there is no picture today because I was trying to figure out how to take a picture of nothing. That was the gift I unexpectedly received today. On the way to meet up for coffee, a friend's car broke down. So I picked her up, went for coffee, and then went with her to a medical appointment. I was there waiting for a little over an hour, and didn't even have a book handy. I was fidgetly at first, feeling like I should be DOING something. But after I let myself relax, I just soaked up all the peace and quiet and nothingness. I felt so refreshed and relaxed when she came out. The rest of the day was amazingly enjoyable.

Monday June 1, 2009

So I know it is a controversial subject, but all three of my kids have turned out to be belly-sleepers. Yeah, I know, SIDS research says out them on the back to sleep. But they sleep so much better, and reach milestones earlier when they are on their tummies. Plus Georgia and Sam both had reflux, and sleeping this way makes it feel better.

Sunday May 31, 2009

Today was a great day. We struggled all weekend with the kids and their table manners. But tonight we had a really nice dinner altogether at the kitchen table. Everyone behaved themselves, so we went out to the local ice cream shop afterwards. Georgia's face says it all!

Saturday May 30, 2009

Noah took this, obviously. I love the angle... right up the nostrils. At least his nose was clean that time!

Friday May 29. 2009

This is Sam's fro in full effect. Noah had a little fuzzball head when he was an infant, too. But Sam's is so much darker and longer. This was freshly washed fro. I love it!

Thursday May 28, 2009

Georgia had her last day of pre-school for the year today. I was a homeroom mom this year. Her teachers gave me these adorable flowers to say thank you. I cried. I blame it on the hormones.

Wednesday May 27, 2009

We went out to lunch today with a few Georgia's classmates. This is one of her favorite friends to play with. And I just love the pose!

Tuesday May 26, 2009

Love, love, LOVE this show! It just started a few days ago, and I watched it on DVR tonight. It is in the audition phase, a la American Idol. But I did get some really good laughs out of it!

Monday May 25, 2009

I drove back to our house tonight, on my own with the kids. Surprisingly, I had no traffic, which is pretty much unheard of for this area at the end of a beautiful Memorial Day weekend. I was stopped when I took this picture right as the light turned green to get on the Vine Street Expressway. It was a green light all the way home to bedtime.

Sunday, May 24, 2009

We had a BBQ at my parents' house today and my brothers and sisters came over. This is Georgia, Noah and my niece Mallory. She is turning into such a little person right now, learning how to talk and run around like the older kids. It is such a fun stage. And they all played together for a while, which was really cute to see.

Saturday May 23, 2009

We went to the circus today with Georgia and Noah. It was a treat just for "big kids," and Sam stayed home with my parents'. It was a great show, and we had great seats. We were literally under the tight rope. Quite a few times we thought we might end up with an injured circus performer in our laps.

Friday May 22, 2009

Sam got to meet his Great-Grandmom Kay (G.G.) today for the first time. I am not sure how much time he will get to spend with her, as she has been diagnosed with a very serious cancer. It was a beautiful moment to see her enjoying her newest great-grandchild. She held him, stared at him, and rocked him to sleep as she sang him some old standards from the 40's and 50's. I had a hard time holding it together.
